Series of interventions and materialized screenings on site in former mining building of Waterschei in cooperation witht FLACC, Genk

Text invitation FLACC:

Alien Oosting (1978, Meppel, the Netherlands) spends the time she is working with FLACC in the abandoned mine building in Waterschei. She documents elements of structure and decay, creating a visual story in which details of the existing situation are transformed by small interventions. Her study takes the shape of a presentation on the transition between the space, filmed space and material additions. Experiencing simultaneousness and experiencing distance are important motives in her work. During Oosting's visual moment the works are redirected, assigning an important role to the visitors' movements.
